PAST SPECIAL EVENTS

CHRISTMAS FAIR

Saturday 25th November

Around 250 people visited the church on the Saturday of the fair and enjoyed a Wright's mince pie kindly provided by David Wright.

£1200 was raised from the various stalls and the admission fee which included a cup of tea / coffee and a mince pie.

The members of the Staffordshire marquetry gave demonstrations during the morning.

The White Elephant stall was manned by Peter and Mary Boden and the items were donated most generously by members of the congregation.

The Trinity Men's Fellowship tombola stall had a record day and almost one hundred prizes were donated and won.

The Home Bake stall was well supplied by the bakers in the community and little or nothing was left at the end of the morning.

83 year old Don Gray filled the Santa costume once again and Gladys was working away during the morning.

Marie Harper brought along a display of vintage farming and dairy equipment for which we thanks her.

Musical Director Rodney Bellamy provided some of the music during the morning duetting with Mary Scott on the piano.

Mary showed her skills and artistry on the harp accompanying Peter Jones and Gill Latos in a selection of carols and others.

Chris Archer spinned the drum and issued the prizes along with organiser Ron Biggs and other members of the Men's Fellowship
Angela Webb demonstrated the manufacture of jewellery and sold items.

Bring & Share
Harvest Lunch
Sunday 1st October 2006

The Harvest Lunch was attended by around 70 people who all seemed to enjoy the food brought to the Parish Room by members of the congregation.

As usual many willing hands served up the food and did the washing up both before and after the meal.

Changing the service from 10.30am to 11.30am did not catch many people out.

Judy Norton, Ron Biggs, John Pinney and Joan Biggs manned the food stall outside the library on Friday 6th October to sell off the remains of the donated foodstuff for the harvest service.

RHOS   ORPHEUS   MALE VOICE   CHOIR

The performance on Saturday 22nd July 2006 was a rip roaring success with almost 300 people in the church for the evening.

The evening ended with the choir, audience and the organ together for Cwm Rhondda.

Church funds benefited by over £1600.

ECCLESHALL FESTIVAL 2006

The church and its members played a big role in the Festival this year with live music on an  open day at the church on Saturday 24th June, the 'family' silver on display and guides in the church.

Jail Break the musical performed by the Saints Alive Singer on two days during the festival.

A walking treasure hunt, a sponsored walk by the Trinity men's fellowship and a photographic competition all arranged by the members of the church.

A great community spirit.
