Wedding couples 2011 and 2012
Some of the wedding couples for 2010 Every year a 'workshop' for hopeful wedding couples is held at the church to outline the services, vows and logistics of the happy day.
Springtime at Holy Trinity
Congratulations to you both on your engagement The people of Holy Trinity and St Chad's Church are delighted that you wish to start your marriage in the magnificent church of Holy Trinity, which has been the focus of prayer and of the Christian faith for centuries, or else in St Chad's, Slindon (described by the famous Pevsner as 'a little gem'). The following are available on this website: a wedding information leaflet;
an
application form
a 'qualifying
connection' form an illustrative fee form (please note that fees usually alter each calendar year) Please note that the leaflet sets out the position on who may get married in Holy Trinity or St Chad's Church. Either living in the parish or having a 'qualifying connection' is likely to be the key. Where one of you has been married before you may send back the application form (and qualifying connection form), but, please, we need to meet and speak before you regard the wedding as booked or before you take things further. I hope you find the information helpful, and I look forward to hearing from you – please remember to include your phone number(s) and email address(es) when you return correspondence. Please note that on a Saturday in February each year (the nearest to Valentine's Day) we set aside time for a marriage preparation day, and I do ask you to keep Saturdays free at that time, so that you can come to lunch or refreshments and meet me and various other people who will help you. Before then you may like to see further information on www.yourchurchwedding.org – but please bear in mind that I will explain the choices in more depth when we meet, and that the site only sets out in full one Church of England wedding service option. I will set out for you the service choices, and also choices within a wedding service as well.Meanwhile, every blessing as you plan for your shared future,
(James Graham, vicar)
